Day 28

Day 28. June 22, 2007
It's Friday. We began our day with the final Business Breakfast - about 20 companies were represented at the meeting, providing Accelerator participants the opportunity to meet additional members of the business community.
At 8:00 AM, it was time for presentations of the 10th and final project: HCA. Each of the Accelerator teams presented their assessment of HCA's h2u@WORK program and how best to implement the roll-out of this concept across the various HCA markets in the US. Several of the teams also suggested a partnership strategy for HCA to invigorate the h2u@WORK program. One of those teams, in the end, was declared the winning team by HCA: Team 2 (Team Kristin).
Members of the winning team included: Emily Agostino, Chapleigh Denman, Jay Fettig, Adrian Jaimes, Brad Kemph, Amy O'Brien, Rhett Taylor (Team Leader), Mark Watson and Cindy Zhang. Other Teams were ranked as follows: 2nd Place: Team 3; 3rd Place: Team 1; 4th Place: Team 5; 5th Place: Team 4. The winning team will go to dinner tonight with the HCA management team at teh Belle Meade Country Club.
After the HCA session, we began our Career Day. We've had an exceptional response from businesses to Accelerator 2007 with a number of both internships and full-time job offers available. Interviews ran till 2:30 PM.
The afternoon, the winning team for the FedEx project departed for the FedEx World Headquarters. They are scheduled to attend a congratulatory reception, spend a few hours in the FedEx flight simulator, and then have dinner with the FedEx management team.
This afternoon, we also wrapped up our final 2 classes: Economics with Dr. Luke Froeb and Finance with Dr. Nick Bollen. For those Accelerators not on the winning HCA or FedEx teams, we all went to Cabana for dinner - to celebrate the accomplishment of 10 GREAT projects.
Tomorrow... a new surprise...
