Today was a mixture of Class, Mystery Shopping, and project work for National Civil Rights Museum.
We begain the day at 7:00 AM with Breakfast. At 8:00 AM we begain the second round of Accounting classes - a 3 hour marathon of Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow, Variance Analysis and Budgeting concepts.
At 11:00, it was time to switch from "left brain" activities to "right brain" activities. Our teams orchestrated a mystery shopping experience for the Lexus project. Teams went to Lexus, Audi, BWM, Infiniti and Thoroughbred Motorcars. They rated these auto dealerships on how the dealership treated a "Millinneal" individual - and what the experience was like. Interestingly, while most all these Nashville dealerships were courteous - only one seemed to know how to make the "experience" fun and memorable. If a car dealership really wants to sell a young person a car, there seems to be 3-4 key items that are essential to be in the "script" - we'll tell the "secret" later...
Later in the afternoon, we turned our attention to work on the project for the National Civil Rights museum (http://www.civilrightsmusum.org). Team leaders on this project are: Emily Agosino, Ahsaki Black, Andrew Grumney, Chris Kierstead and Caroline McGuire.
We caught our second wind after dinner and worked to finish the FedEx project. The day ended at 9:00 PM - a 14 hour day.
